Luv ’til it Hurts is an artist-led project on HIV and stigma initiated by Todd Lanier Lester. From 2018 to 2020 it brought together HIV-positive artists and allies around the world to understand their local HIV-related stigmas and challenges, and developed Exquisite Corpse: an evolving group show, interactive game, and soapbox that anyone can stage wherever it is needed.
Its activities included the São Paulo AIDS Walk, gatherings in Grenoble, Berlin, and Bogotá, a World AIDS Day event in Mauritius, and Kairon Liu’s first US solo show, Luv ’til it Hurts (El Museo de Los Sures, Brooklyn, October 2018).
Collaborator in the working group; designed and built the project website with Gatsby, React, and GraphQL.
